Kancil AI — Backend & Database Engineering

Kancil AI is an AI-powered learning platform for elementary school students. I built the entire backend system, from designing 16 relational database tables to developing REST APIs and integrating OpenAI for an AI chatbot called Pak Dino.

Key Implementations

• Designed and implemented a database schema with 16 relational tables covering users, courses, quizzes, analytics, and student progress tracking.
• Built an authentication system using JWT and Google OAuth 2.0 with role-based access control for teachers and students.
• Integrated the OpenAI API for an interactive AI chatbot ("Pak Dino") that provides context-aware learning assistance.
• Utilized Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, Sequelize, Passport.js, and Joi to build a secure and scalable backend service.
